A Few Tips to Keeping Your House Clean

.) MAKE A CHECKLIST- Make a checklist and stick to it. Dirt and grime will only get worse with time. There is no rule that says you have to clean the whole house in one day. Clean the bathrooms Tuesday, the kitchen Thursday, etc. Consider it like a job...stay disciplined!
.) ASK FOR HELP-Don't be scared to ask for help cleaning and organizing. It's easy to get yourself into a rut and not know where to start. You ask yourself  'Where do I even start'? That's easy silly, at the beginning!
.) DUMP YOUR JUNK-We are all guilty of it...keeping things you MIGHT use someday, maybe. Simple rule, if you can't remember the last time you used it...get rid of it! No one likes a pack rat...especially if you are trying to keep your home orderly.
.) PAY ATTENTION-Limit any potential distractions. Turn off your phone so you you can pay attention to cleaning. So stay on task, and get the job done.
.) USE GOOD CLEANING TOOLS AND PRODUCTS-that doesn't mean the most expensive either! Be creative, vinegar and water does a great job on the floors and it's very inexpensive!
.) KEEP YOUR CLEANING SUPPLIES TOGETHER-this will save you time and frustration with trying to find that one thing...I know I left it...you know the feeling! Don't go room to room for special cleaners. This will slow you down. A great starter supply bucket might include: glass cleaner, green scrubber, disinfectant, toothbrush (for those hard to reach spaces), Comet, Pledge, Sponges, Soft Scrub, and a  degreaser. Of course a vacuum and a broom and dustpan. Swiffer Wet Pads also work great to clean hardwood floors. Way easier that dragging out the mop and bucket! OrangeGlo leaves it with a nice finish and fresh scent!
